Interesting reg, Channel Isles perhaps? Mine had a Huskey winch behind the bumper & a bull-bar when I bought it (4 yrs ago) so I sold them both, which went towards the cost of fitting the correct front springs & a new spoiler, as the old one was hacked about something rotten. At first glance your towbar looks a bit squiffy, it's obviously had rear light-guards in the past & looks like it's LPG equipped. Hope you enjoy the car, I certainly have the four I've owned over the years.

I hope your Mondeo wasn't worth much as that is a bit of a ropey example.

That sort of plate is Northern Ireland. Guernsey use black plates silver text, all numbers. Jersey plate start with a J and are all numbers after that.

Sam,
I have got a front bumper off a 1984 vogue, complete and un molested, might get rid of the rear bumper as well but not decided what to do with it yet, will need to take a template at make a new strong one before it goes. Only problem is I live in Hertfordshire so not down the road. They are hear if you want them and not going anywhere fast..

Hi all it has LPG but not working so I am taking it all out looking at getting it original as possible to sell on as I feel it's not really me and I want a discovery again

Don't remove the lpg, get it repaired and it makes it a lot more usable and much much easier to sell on.

Especially on a 3.5 - far less likely to have liner problems than the bigger bore RV8's

my old 3.5 had been on lpg for ten years when I got it. I had the system serviced and drove it for another 3 years before I sold it on and it was still working perfectly. It makes a classic V8 a usable every day car, it was slightly cheaper to run than my diesel disco.

Wish I'd never sold it now
