Can anyone give me the definitive answer to "how to jack with air suspension" ??? Is it as easy as open a door then jack ? Im removing rear wheels to fit some new antiroll bar bushes an like hell i wanna booger my eas up on this after the last nightmare which was my l322 ! cheers guys

Read the hand book! as with most 4x4 via the axels .
No axles on the L320 and L322....independant Wishbone suspension all round....

On my L322, I just jacked on the 'Customer Jacking Points' which were under the sills....left a door open to stop the ECU leveling, no issues...

Just had two rear tyres replaced, Fitting place told me to keep the engine running and open a door(why engine running I don't know I did ask, they said it was their policy with Air Suspension) then jacked the rear up by placing the jacks under the Subframe to body mounts!

Again, so issues except the O/S suspension bag popped back into place once they lowered it - I then told them, that is because they had left the engine running and the EAS ECU thinks the Rear is grounded and as such over extended the airbag trying to 'unground' itself, and when you put the weight back on the wheels, the airbag needed to roll back over itself again!

A few red faces from the fitting staff!

If it is the rear arb d bushes you are replacing I would raise to off road open door or boot engine off and then jack but for god sake use the chassis and not the air suspension pump unit on the n/s/r it sits just I front of the wheel it will give you a big headache if you do and lots of money. You will need a 13mm spanner a ratchet one or a flexi head or a snap on 13mm shallow socket as it is very tight and dont snap the bolts because if you do it is a body off job to dril them out and re thread them. Also grease the bush before refit as if you dont the bush will have a limited lifespan.

Hazard lights on boot open. Prob do 5 or 6 4x4s with air suspension a week. Not had a problem yet. *touches wood*

Why hazard lights on for I do not know I work on sports disco 3/4 freelander evoques defenders l322 l405 infact any landy that comes to main dealer land. Other brand 4x4 with air suspension I have no clue on. What does the hazards do then to the air suspension as on a landy there is no connection whatsoever between the two.

Because the procedure varies depending on manufacturer I do the same for all rangies/Q7/toureg etc. as I say it's not failed me yet. Think hazard lights is an Audi thing.

I thought hazards on was to let them know the engine is running....

Also tail open doesn't freeze the EAS on the L322 IIRC only a door open does that !!!
