Where's my clonk?:)

I hear a whirr of the starter motor turning, but that's all it does . Does it then spin into the fly wheel to start Bessie? Does it feck?

Whassup pals? Is it s a new starter motor from Paddocks, or can I do this myself?

Cheers
Ken

dont go buying nothing! remove the motor and using jump leads spin the motor you should see the engaging cog spin out i bet its just stuck give it a fettle and try again when you see it work properly refit.

Ere Jontee, this is a landy forum so fair play, we gorra indulge these gaylander peeps if we insist on buying a marque that produced them!

Ok Ode I Bow To Your Greater Knowledge But Chromys **** Still Floats And It Stinks Like A Skunk His Beeeeatch Just Told Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I leave the forum for two days and look what happens - you get all nasty with each other LOL.

I got a pal to thump (ok, tap) the starter and it seemed to start fine after that, so my choices therefore:

1. new motor.
2. overhaul the motor.
3. buy a starter handle from ebay (currently two are listing)
4. always park on a hill.

Thoughts?

If tapping with a hammer did the job, go for option 5 which is just carry a hammer, it will go for ages like that - i had a beetle when i were a yoof and it went for 2 years with me having to occasionally loosten the starter with a quick whack!

Yeah An Occasional Tap Never Did Anyone Er Thing Any Harm It'll Live Like That For Ages Why Spend Money On Bits When You Can Spend It On Lubrification!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
