Welcome to LaryZone.

There's these guys: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f12/pay-play-east-grinstead-55542.html#post493735

You could PM them.

If you want to start off with some gentle greenlaning you could stick a post in the Greenlaning section and get a couple of others in your area to drive out with. There's quite a few groups on here who do that.

Just make sure you read this site for guidance first: Green Lane Association Ltd. - Home and be careful with your map reading. Greenlaning is especially good with kiddiewinkies. Pay and play can get quite hairy scarey in places! ;)

thanks Grippa
With Green laning, and reading the site you advised me on, those that mean I can do over the south Downs, without breaking any laws.
If not, where would you advise I go, if you know the west Sussex area?
I know Slindon Is on This coming sunday, And i'll be there, But b4 that, the south Downs are tempting. If any one is going this Sunday, it would be great to say hello.
Thanks

Get yerself some maps & have a shufty. I prefer Explorer's (the orange ones). They're 1:25000 as opposed to the Landranger's 1:50000. I used to use sheets 121 & 122, but mine are a bit elderly & sadly, looking at them there's very little you can still drive that's really local to you following the NERC bill in 2006! I dun't live down there anymore so am not sure, but there doesn't look anything worth driving. You'd probably have to go further North (sheets 132 to 135).

Anything on an Explorer marked +++++++++++++++++++++ should be ok to drive & look out for signposts marked 'By-way' usually with a red arrow pointing the way. Anything marked Bridleway, Restricted Byway or Footpath (obviously!) you cannot drive. Don't go alone, follow the GLASS code of conduct and you shouldn't go too far wrong.

Daft & me are going out next Saturday, South of Basingstoke if it int too far for you?
