I was thinking of offering £250 for it. doesn't look to bad rot wise but been stood for a long time and the interior needs a good clean or replacing:confused:

Depends on the Chassis....if you can turn the crank by hand (with a bar obviously and Plugs out) might be worth a shot.....the Lucas 14CUX (or was it the 14CU that early on??) EFi system is fairly simplistic....

no..but at 250 its worth more weighed in...so yes for parts only..

unless you can confirm millage is genuine and its not actually done loads more..ie speedo replaced

then yes..seats willll clean up..

The question is why did it get abandoned in the first place. Probably goosed in the first place. With the exception of the rear damage it looks straight, but I suspect when you pull her free the mud and dirt holding it together will become apparent.

If you have the space time and ability, then why not. But I imagine you'll need to put more money in than you're likely to get out.

It was working and on the road, a friend said he wanted to buy it so they parked it in the yard then moved to the wood till they got the money together. The money never came and the rangy never moved.

I'd go for it as long as the chassis is good. The usual bits will be away back to mother earth. Looks like it has taken a shunt at the rear. I'd check that out. Oh, and send me the bonnet :)

how long has it been sitting there ?
Too long. Everything rubber and liquid will need to be replaced at minimum. I imagine mice would've done a number on the electrics too.

But either the plates are fake or it has been standing for so long DVLA no longer have records (a car I scrapped in 2000 still shows up).

NW London reg, sad to see it so negleted, esp. for me as I have an original & unmolested '87 myself (but with a sunroof instead of A/C) that's only done 48k. If you have a use or outlet for the parts (& the storage facilities) then it's got to be worth £250 I would have thought.

If you get storage then go for it. I suspect you know more than anyone here what is involved and nothing is nicer than that turn of the key when you're done and go for your first drive.

Dammit, now I want a new project. D:

dont worry about that..i have 2 legit motors with log books and taxed that dont show up on dvla internet thingy..

I am seriously considering it, just need to talk my boss into lettings me borrow his shogun and trailer to fetch it, and keep it on the farm.:D

Just looked at your location - although I've lived in Essex since '63 I was born/raised at Colney Heath & then Hatfield.
