My mum has a landrover 1989 sat on the drive for 10 years now needs fair bit of work but did start up last year when charged up. Does anybody know how much it is worth? I know it definitely needs welding, tyres and interior sorting them probably more. Comes with full roof rack. She's never going to have time or money to fix it up which is a shame because our childhood was that car! Any advise would be appreciated cheers!
Oh we were offered £2500 last year?

Hi, thanks for getting back. I'll take some pictures today and ask my mum for any info she has. I'm not too clued up on landrovers

Is this a Ninety, or a One Ten?

Either way, I should think £2500 or a bit more is about it's money, maybe a bit more when we see the pics, maybe not.

It would also be helpful if you post a location, not your postcode, just the nearest town or the county you are in.
Achieved prices depend on location as well as the actual vehicle.

Need more pictures, the chassis, the inside and engine bay, but looking at the two pictures you have posted £2500 might be a good offer.

I would say welcome :) but I know you are not here to stay. But I said it anyway:)

Most wont give you a price on basic info.
Even your pics are a bit lacking. So you have shown the top lets see the bottom;).
Bulkhead looks dodgey, But rear crossmember looks (from this distance ) not rough.

But at the end of the day you have a "whole" vehicle.

People have paid more for worse. More pics please.
I would say anybody buying it would want a bulkhead and chassis then be prepared to do the work, but as its all there it makes the job easier.
They would end up putting more in than its final value but if its a keeper that somehow doesn't matter.

Good luck with it.

Ok great thanks for the advice. I'll try and get those pictures today
Underbonnet pics, please. And chassis and bulkhead if you can, especially the outriggers and door pillars.
But we can already see that it is a Land Rover One Ten, not a Defender, and that the original engine was a 2.5 TD.
Assuming nothing in the new pics contradicts that, I think £2500 was a pretty fair offer.

Hopefully get some pics tomorrow, I know underneath my mum thinks is rusty. But will try and get pictures tomorrow

Interesting mileage history- 100k for years then it dropped, then back to 100k then it dropped again! Only by 1 mile though! Having rebuilt a '89 myself, I would suggest that £2500 is a fair offer, as they generaly all need £5k+ spending on them. At least there is a good chance it will be rebuilt and back on the road if an enthusiast buys it.

Happy to have a look if you want ? I am in Cheshire and have a 92 110 CSW (J Reg).....Not interested in yours but would happily give you a view with some of the basics and help you get better pics.

I would agree with the above, I have just paid £2200 for a station wagon of the same age that needs a lot of welding on everything steel so 2.5k sounds in the ball park. Prices are beginning to come down again compared to the high there were at a couple of years ago.
