Is it possible for front 2 hub bearings to fail together??

Hello to all

Steering has gone sloppy so went and bought all new ball joints replaced them........
Still does not feel right so hands on wheel and tug like F*&k, sounds like bearing has gone, so went round the other side and repeated the test, same noise & feel

Has anybody had experiences of both wheel bearings failing together, seems strange that both have gone or could this be something else?

yes iv had left and right front wheel bearing go at the same time.

Just had both mine replaced as both gone, one worse than other mind, but both gone.

did having new bearings make the steering much better??

It would undoubtedly help if your wheels were soundly located, yes!

Have you tried jacking the vehicle up and wobbling the wheels,spinning,feeling for "sandy-ness" etc?

Bearings changed yesterday 100% improvement , hardest bit was old races out and getting new ones in, simple and straight forwards otherwise. thankyou to every1 for there input.
