Hello , i recently posted on here saying we've had various problems with our freelander, 5 weeks into having the car the following have been fixed :-

Non starting - Cam shaft sensor
Knocking noise @ front - Loose steering rack
Whining Noise at back - Rear Diff
plus little other things like clock display , cd player, air con

i read alot of the posts on this site and it is a great site, especially when u are in need of some great advice !!

but are all forums just about problems ?? surely there must be Freelander owners out there who are happy with their car !! so many people say they always go wrong.....but how come there are so many on the road ???

I am haapy

Happy that everytime it goes wrong the warrenty kicks in

Break pipes
Rear Window moter
Exhaust manifold
CHG

to name the last 12 months, and by the water its still loosing a new engine, thanks Network Q

sounds like best idea is to take out an extended warranty ...any ideas where best place to go ???

I bought my 52 1.8 petrol from Network Q, which covers it for a year, have extended if for anouther couple £700, but a small price for what has gone wrong in the 12 months, and god knows how much a new engine would have cost me to get and fit.

OK I'll buck the trend.....

I have an X reg TD4 and I think it's great. In fairness, I have only had it about 6 weeks, but in that time it has been economical, comfortable and towed a ton and a half about a thousand miles without problems.:D

Watch it break on me now......

ah there are some people that are happy with their freelander - thanks for sharing that with me !

Just out of interest if most of you that have replied dont own a freelander ..y do you come on here ??
