Is anyone happy with their 1.8 ?

If anyone is in doubt about the head gasket on their 1.8 k-series petrol engine, take a look at my search in the disco forum:

I distinctly remembering sniggering not at the OP'er but the similar problems associated with the diesel engines, it didn't go down too well (something about glass houses and stone throwing :D)

take a look at post 17 below in a Disco Tdi thread ;)

All engines have their problems, even the new Fiats and Mini 2 suffer from HGF.

The flagship model RR vogue even suffers from blown gaskets and oil everywhere,

Now your showing your true colors. If you don't like something keep your ****ing nose out, **** !!

By right there should no spamming of a techie thread. In fairness, mentioning your hgf is within a general discussion thread, so expect some idiocy ;)

It's not half as bad as what it used to be on here, thats cos the FL1 has earned some respect, kept up with some of the tractors on off-roading days.

now where's that pic of the FL kv6 towing a stuck RR? :D

I've been around here long enough to know how you operate MHM,

hell, I even remember when Disco Paul gave you your title of Official Internet Warrior. You provoked the same reaction in Disco Paul, as you did in Neale.

Does it still smart from several grand repair bill for the KV6 :p ;) even though ya insurance paid up some ;)

I still stand by my windows as the most common fault on FL1 as stated in LRM ;)

Christ on a bike - Do I "operate", NI :D

and I thort i was a pussycat ;).
I am sure Neale will learn that I am the least of his worries.

and after i said yu was a "respected member of LZ" anorl :tea:
