Hi, the name's Brian ('brianhw'). The 'hw' is an abbreviation for Holywood (Co.Down, Northern Ireland) where I come from. Have restored two Land Rovers - a series 1 86 inch and a series 2a 88 inch. Sadly I do not have the series 1 any more, but the Series 2a which I've had for about 12 years is still here and undergoing a 19J engine transplant at the moment - not without difficulties, I might add - the stereotypical cracked pistons et al !
I have posted a request for any info on Chinese pistons for this engine in the 19J TD section but was taken to task by 'Turboman' for not first introducing myself so here is my introduction forthwith !
