hi all
anyone came across this one, my p38 2001 4.6 has an intermitent fault once a week sometimes twice, on start up the door selonoids will click rather fast along with the head lights coming on and the horn briefly as the key is turned,
dash lights go a bit dull then the stereo asks for the code
battery was new back in july
anyone help shed some light on the situation?

i would replace your fuse box sharpish

im not currently experiencing any problems with mine but i know at the age it is i will at some point. i had the common burnt blower relay when i bought it temp fixed. its on my list of things to change.

you are experiencing from what i gather typical p38 electrical fuse box faults soooooo before it lets go big time get it changed for a new one island4x4

problem found , it was the battery isolation switch i have fitted ,so i have done away with it for now will get a very heavy duty one and fit
the reason i have one fitted is incase of emergency you dont need a spanner to disconnect the battery quickly
after being in a car years ago that caught fire and witnessed 2 other car fires as a result of an electrical fault it makes you very cautious as well as carrying a good sized fire extinguisher and hope you never need it
anyway as a result of battery disconection my 2 keys wont resync , the key locks and unlocks if i put the key in the door and starts ok just wont work on the buttons ive tried all the proceedures but sill wont work
gonna connect up my faultmate extreme and have a look at all the settings
