hi.
right im after a policy to insure my 300tdi 90 with lots of mods (wheels/tires, winch, winch bumper. lift kit, radius arms/cranked arms, diff gaurds, tank gaurd, snorkel)

ive tried frank pickles and got a good quote, my land rover is a 2nd vehicle but i do use it a lot and apparently the policy through them is for off road use and driving to and from off roading greenlaning sites so im not sure on the policy. anyone else insure there landy through frank pickles? or know of a cheap decent place to insure it elswhere?

Yeah, i just insured mine with frank pickles.

The guy explained to me that it was a more specialist insurance for 2nd car (fun toy) type cover, also that they don't really give insurance to unmodified cars, so i should be installing my planned winch and snorkel asap. And that if i joined an offroading club it would be another 13% off.

You can tick the option for commuting also, but they wont do a policy with more than a 5000 mile a year limit. So state that when you speak to them.

Once he'd worked it out i was so impressed with the quote i didn't even bother getting a second quote and just paid there and then.

I'm told Lancaster are good also though. But haven't spoke to them myself

went with lancaster in the end, fully comp with every mod included even down to the polybushes lol, payed 230 for the year and that is with an agreed value for the 90 and legal cover too. also insured for off roading and greenlaning.
happy with that to be fair

thats a good price :D

iv just got a quote of um and they want £400 a year unlimited mileage, second truck with them.
£20 is for an agreed value for the 90 and £40 break down cover

i dont have any no claims i can use cos im using them on the disco
and im only 6 month into my insurance with frank pickles. the reason i want to change is im using the 90 every day now and i have an off road insurance policy on the 90 for club days
