Just got a 90 County, love it, only problem is every thing in the rear is on view,is there anything I can buy to simulate the D2 luggage cover, or tips on making my own, read a thread that said D1cover fits but can't find a supplier, any tips would be gratefully received, thanks.

Take your windows out and plate over with ally sheet and rivets with a bit of silicone, then make a plywood bulkhead to go behind seats up to ceiling

Piece of ply to sit on the wheel arch tops, do it well so it looks like the boot floor will give you masses of hidden storage room.
If you make it hard to look in the back people will break in just to see what may be in there.
The ply with some general land rover crap on top will be of no interest to some toe rag.

Might help if you gave more info,
Is it a County SW, if yes what type of seats does it have in the back?
What height do you want to cover too?
Does it need to be easily removable to allow use of seats if they are fitted?
Is it just junk or valuable stuff you are leaving in the back?
Do you live in an area where car crime is high?

Cheers

how about something like this:

how hard do you want to go?!

They dont make em for Fenders, I looked for some time.

Also tinting your windows by yourself may cost all of £30 but its a fuc king nightmare and the result is almost always poor plus a nightmare to remove when you screw it up. Guardian Tints do tint windows pretty cheap though

Wouldn't be too hard to adapt one to suit, just find a ute with a similar (equal or smaller) width and adapt the cover to suit, installing the runners at the correct width on some angle brackets,

Failing that, buy a blanket / German Shepard to put in the back

How much stuff do you need to store out of sight? If it's stuff you keep there all the time like tools, recovery kit etc. then I would suggest a false floor, carpeted fitted with a trap door or drawer. To someone having a look in to see if there is anything worth taking they will probably not notice the height difference if you don't make it too high.
