Hello fellow freelander owners, i have just put down a deposit on a new astravan to compliment my business..... sadly this mean getting rid of my gaylander and bidding farewell to u guys, its been good chatting but before i say my goodbyes, i'd like some advice to get rid of it.......

The final straw to changing motors was that it failed its mot on a tyre and co levels...... these coupled with the ongoing noisy diff told me, to hell with it, it's gotta go, i need something reliable for work...

So im left with a dilemma, whats the best way to get rid of it for the most money, sell in the condition it is? fix it up and get the best price? (what will it cost to fix up? can i do it myself with ease?) or break it up? what do u think i could get for it on either solutions?

it has a little over 87000 miles on the clock, bodywork in average condition, steel wheels, side steps, needs a tyre, one or two mounts, diff pinion seal leaking hence noisy operation and co level needs attention. just had a new clutch and front brakes......

obviously if i fix it up i'll have the time to do it as i'll have a new transport to get me to work, so it can be put off road....

or maybe one of you guys are interested in it....

ideas welcomed guys before the final goodbyes (wipes tears)

well mate i think the best way ta get rid of your gaylander is

take it to the nearest deep river along with a gallon of petrol, when you pour the petrol all over the inside, set it on fire then push it in the river an tell the police its bin nicked, claim on the insureance:rolleyes:

any help mate

other optoin is don't bother with the new van

buy a deepender instead then you dont have to leave us:D

oh forgot to say see ya mate, an good luck

swap the tyre off and leave it at home.if it aint there it cant be tested.then go get a 110 hardtop.

great advice guys, other option is to keep it and use it off road, woodlands 4x4 is near me, was there last time, funny watching the jimny getting dragged out, r freelanders any good off road, must be better than on road surely
