M8 just follow advice to the letter, and tell them as much as you can, if anyone can sort it they can trust me on that

And outa my depths are right, no one on here even get this thing either i guess, looks like it need to be hooked to a computer at an expensive shop to diagnose it.
Everyone just criticizes on here, I just bought this junk like this, not my fault. I been outside everyday for 2 weeks trying to get it going now dumping money into it. Was running and now dead so I dont get it.

that will diagnose nothing. you'll be wasting effort and cash and recovery to somewhere that cannot do anything.. diagnostics will tell you the modules.

what you need to do is download RAVE, look at the wiring diagrams and trace the wiring. or put the remote start and alarm back in as it was and see if that changes anything.

or consider if your insurance has fire cover !!

yea its unusall lol, didnt say it was normal :)

But i/we don't think you understand...unless you've got access to diagnostics or youve got the time to use a dmm to trace faults and able to use it your on a no hopper...a new battery was not the problem so what is.. do you have a DMM...

I think hes got a point, put it all back again and see if it works..... somehow I doubt it, but its a starting point

not critisisin, trying to help you.. appreciate you bought it like that and its not your work. you are trying to undo other peoples.

this is the main problem I have had with classic porshes and range rovers.. idiots over the years wire in phones, alarms, all kinds of electrical stuff to all kinds of places in most cases oblivious to the car itself. the range rover alarm is pretty good and its security is good.. why wire in an after market alarm !! its just problems for someone else to sort out.

honestly download rave and start tracing the wires in the wiring diagrams

The auto start I just took out yesterday, the truck hasnt been running for over a week now. Putting it back in wont help either as I didnt get the remote for it. It could be just messing with everything anyways.

@AudioInstigator don't give up on us were here to help... just keep updating what you've done something you might say might trigger a thought that leads to a result...
well we got somewhere in understanding that the remote start was wired to the audio. when the audio got pulled it died.

when the remote start was removed it wouldn't crank.

now we've got somewhere.

@AudioInstigator its helpful to know exact steps of what happened and the sequence and what trouble shooting has gone on. if we'd known this earlier it would have been a couple of days less. nor setting you off on various other routes.

my betting is the remote start wiring set up !

It seems like nothing is the problem other than the key or computer stopping it too.

No it's you removing the stereo with the engine running and taking the dash apart...

I've got a 1998 P38 lying in a field not been started for at least 3 months with a disconnected battery and it will start straight away key fob doesn't work door locks neither
