And yes was running 12 days ago about when i bought it, I drove it home about 30 minutes came out next morning went around the block with my son came back pulled in back and with truck still running slide the stereo out "aftermarket unit" and Landy stalled out like it ran out of gas. Than would crank with no start next day and day after wouldnt even crank, now battrey is new 1000 cca and still nothing. just clicking. and i can jump relay at starter relay and starter works proper.

i think stereo sliding and dying was just coincidental

Then check wiring behind dash around ignition switch it's the direct link to the engine running no power to position 2 no engine running, position 3 power to starter... as you've pulled stuff out that would be my first port of call..

ok....

when you removed the aftermarket preheater when was that ? where was it wired in to ?

how many times did you try and crank it to restart ?

I;m wondering if the battery has died and the key isn't synced or was the aftermarket preheater wired in somewhere odd. how did that work ? if you open the fusebox under the hood and pull the relays out one by one are there any signs of melting from arcing ?

The car starter was a astroflex brand, was connected to all the usall spots, ignition wires, door kick panel and inside drivers door. Triple checked to make sure it was taken out perfectly.

Nobody and I mean nobody with any mechanical sence leaves an engine running while doing work on it especially anything that involves the electrics especially on a P38 you always disconnect the battery...so I think what you've done has caused the problem...

im wondering if the fusebox is toast, if its not ignition related as its cranking from direct connection

when did you remove it when it was cranking but not starting?

I note you mention it was wired to ignition ?

there is a main piece of advice with Range rovers. if its not working don't go doing other stuff till you have it sorted and working again. these are very complex, you'll end up with a mess trying to locate the problem.

can you put it all back in again ?

when the deck was out there was nothing unusall back there, i have noticed heater is conected to stereo powers lol so it turns on when stereo on ...... omg lol

Bridging starter is just bypassing solenoid which is activated by ignition switch...if he hadn't been behind dash pulling wires yes I would be thinking otherwise...

oh fudge me,, the remote starter was connected to the stereo power ?

that is unusual.

so.... just to recap.. the remote starter was connected to the stereo power, when you pulled the stereo, with the remote starter wired to it, it died.

you removed the remote starter and now it wont turn over at all unless you direct wire to the starter is that correct ?

What T****... you don't think that's unusual your totally out of your depth here with this vehicle...sorry to have to say that...
