I am saving 10% on my fuel bill

He's talking a load of crap.
Put up or shut up I say.

Fitting an EGR blanking plate for £5 improved my TD5 Disco fuel consumtion by about TWENTY percent, so his claim of 10% is irrelevant.

Any of us could do a 10% improvement any time we wanted just by driving a little more gently.

If he DOUBLED the miles we could go on a gallon, or halved the price per gallon, I would start looking intersted.

Meantime, he's all MOUTH and no information.
Typical of snake-oil salesmen.
Incidentally, how's Riggaz these days?

No-one should be confused between two different things:

1. using water as a FUEL to produce energy. No-one has ever managed this.

2. inducing water into cylinders to affect combustion.

Water injection is as old as piston engines. You run the engine and spray atomised water into the air stream. In the cylinder, on combustion of the FUEL (diesel, petrol, gas, whatever) the atomised water droplets should VAPORISE to steam, and take up a lot more space. This would be expected to increase the pressure, and hence the power. However, to vaporise water requires a great deal of HEAT, and so the original heat of combustion without water injection will be reduced, and so too will be the pressure and power.

There is a point at which a SMALL gain of power can be obtained.

In highly rated engines water injection is used to cool down the innards and that allows more fuel to be burned without melting the innards of the engine.

Snake oil ...........

all the way from Seneca Valley.

Having both a td5 defender and a td5 disco I can tell you blanking the egr saved about 3%

Now if your egr was faulty and open all the time, 20% would be possible, but only 20% on a power output that is down because of the egr being open all the time.
I also notice charles uses the words 'about twenty percent'

surely you have exact before and after results, and if not, how can you say i 'am talking a load of crap'?

You sir, have no idea whatsoever as to the effect in MY car of the fitting of the EGR plate. ABOUT 20% better fuel consumption is a true and accurate CLEAR statement of the facts here. And, by the way, the EGR was operating as designed right to the day I fitted the blanking plate. Then I did the TD5 Defender, with at least as good results, and then three more Discos.

What is not so clear, even after FIVE PAGES of meaningless waffle and drivel from your side, is your procedure. Indeed, you have assiduously avoided mentioning any aspect of it. I don't think you have one.

So, once again, I challenge you - PUT UP, or SHUT UP.

Or to put it another way, I don't believe a word of it, it's crap, snake-oil.

If you come up and explain a working viable modification or addition that gives a steady 10% or more better fuel consumption with no additional running expenses (otherwise why bother?) then we all want to hear from you.

i never said i used it on roads.it is a landy after all.
ive got 177 acres of clay landfill to play on.
and a vauxhall **** wagon for the road with white diesel i dont pay for in.
Anyway if you use you vehicle with red in off road and you use white for on road you can do that legally, even if theres traces of red in the tanks, alegidly

Yep you can do that, but you have to completely drain the red from the tank before driving it on to a public road (unless it's registered with HMRC as a site vehicle or agricultural Vehicle) then your allowed to drive a short distance (from 1 site entrance to another) or You record your roadmileage and pay the duty accordingly I had a friend who did a lot of offroad site security and this is what he did. But it's a huge kerfuffle & involves lots of Paperwork..

I still want this Keith Muller expert from South Africa to tell us his method.
I REALLY REALLY want to learn from his superior intellect.

Five pages of nothing so far .................. and it is a remarkable thing that he always completely ignores all requests for some specific information.

The simple fact seems to be - he's an expert. He thinks he has come up with a smart idea. I suggest the most he MIGHT have is in his head, and I doubt it's reached an engine. In fact, even if he has, it's most probably going to turn out to be another new idea thought up 100 years ago, but rejected as non-viable. People (always experts) are forever inventing things that were invented, tested and rejected long ago.

All Keith Muller has to do to prove me wrong is .... to prove me wrong!

He merely needs to tell us what we need to do to our engines so we can all get 10% more miles per gallon.

It's not a lot to ask.

CharlesY. You are so wrong about Mr 10%. How his invention works is like this.

1st you let your curiosity get the better of you and you PM/Email him.
He now knows your interested. he then sends you several Emails each one explaining how the system is a secret and of course he has to be very careful who he tells about this great new invention that's going to make him and his PARTNERS!! very very rich.

Then when he's sure he can trust you he asks you to join him and become very rich yourself. Of course he lives in a country full of corrupt officials so all the business dealings will need to be done through your bank account and then, And he's really sorry about this but their are bribes and fees to be paid before he can get at the plans which are held in a secure storage facility. and can only be accessed once the money has been paid. But It's ok because the amount that needs paying is tiny compared to the fortunes your both going to make.

If you want to pass on this great investment opportunity, and you'll regret it if you do.!! let the rest of the forum know as some one else might want to take advantage of this great deal.

Good Grief !!
If I had known it was such a great investment opportunity I would have jumped right in with both feet! I've got a bit of cash I could invest. I wonder how much he needs to get started? Would a couple of hundred thousand US dollars do it? It isn't such a lot really the way the dollar is these days, and I can spare it.
I wonder if he'll PM me with a proposal.

I thought it was a scam or a wind-up. I didn't realise it was kosher all along.
