Can anyone tell me the procedure how to resync a remote key fob to a 1996 4.6 range rover please.
was all working fine, had a flat battery so removed it to charge now the remote doesn't work.
have disconnected battery before, usually just couple of presses of buttons and works again but not this time :-(
have tried the procedure of holding lock button while inserting key into door lock, turning to the right for 3 seconds then back to middle, pull key out and release but no joy.
cant start the car due to the immobilizer being active.

all help greatly appreciated!

I thought you just pressed the button and then either locked or unlocked...?

If you can't start the car because your immobiliser is active I think you need to input your EKA code first, and then you can resync your key fob.

Please say you know what your EKA code is.....

Whats up Mozz, though you had sorted your recent issues.
Must be bad to be losing a vogue with a rebuilt top hat block....that's a long term investment surely:confused:

tell me about it ive now spent 6.5k on it in last 2 yrs and that's on top of buying it , I know its a great looker inside and out and I look after it , but I just want it to work properly without all the niggiling bits stopping and startin !!!!!! I will probably be in a better mood tomorrowcheers

Hope so.
I know the feeling. I went through a period from Oct last year to Feb this year where major work needed every month - my local LR Indie was well pleased. Been 7 months now without too much to grumble about & it's pure pleasure to drive.
....everything will look better in the morning:)
