How good is a TD4 at towing?

its worth learning the history, im 50 and was taught both , imperial i still use
Maybe it was soooooo long ago I've forgotten about the imperial stuff.

Feet and inches I can think in and visualise but when peeps start talking about eighths and sixteenths I'm lost.

So remind me again which is bigger 3/16 or 3/8 or 1/4???????

Over the years the towing weight and the total combined weight changed on Freelanders. Don't know why or if they realised something was wrong. Perhaps to fit changing regulations.
Don't ferget the rule of thumb of only towing up to max 80% of towing vehicle weight as a guide.
Freelander 1 is about 1650kg on it's own.
I've towed tratters and RR's oft road when they were stuck and ma hippo managed ok. Weight would be over 2 ton. :p
