how deep can my freelander go

Hi

I have a Freelander S 1.8 2004. Does anyone know how deep I can take my freelander into a flood. I always have to drive through 2 broken banks each year when it rains a lot but not sure if I am close to causing problems for myself.

the owners handbook says that the maximum wading depth is 15.7 inches

You can drive it into water either up to the level of the air intake or the transmission breathers, and not an inch deeper.
