Hi all,

I am slowly turning my Freelander 1 into our main camping vehicle, as we have some plans to go to Africa next year.

Rooftop tent is already fixed, but want to get started with the electricity now, to get the some cold beers when the engine is off :)

I am installing a 104Ah deep cycle battery in the back, mainly to power the 1,2Ah cooler. And to charger some phones and have some LED lights.

Question I have, to connect the extra battery to the main battery, where do I run the cable? Does anyone know there is space behind the fuse box to run a cable from the cabin into the engine compartment?

Appreciate any tips!

Yep, got that one! Just wondering if you or anyone would know where the red battery cable would enter the car, so I can get the cable to the boot?

There are large-ish gromits on either side of the bulkhead, one behind the engine bay fuse box and one below the brake servo
