finally finished the tdi conversion

installed armourflex soundproof and coverd with heavy duty matting

finished the dash pod and got voltmeters and boost guage working

very is the answer,I have just completed my first conversion on my 90 having a few probs with the power but we'll get there in the end.I like your dash pod and the gauges (were from).

dash pod of ebay £29 guages off ebay £15 each wired them to the 2 batterys runnin a relay off each one switched with the ignition

the 3rd guage on the right is the rev counter but i havent wired that yet

how easy is it to fit the dash unit

piece of **** slides under the top dash and 2 fixing screws in the bottom 2 minute job,shame all the wiring wasnt a 2 minute job

Where did you get the armourflex soundproof, I have the passenger side door leak and this puts me off putting in soundproofing in this side as it will trap the water, thats that stuff like, will it soak up water?

Also I went and sealed up my floor pans so when I go through big puddles and rivers and things the water doesn't bubble up through the floor, now it just puddles from the leak, loose loose situation!

Love the matting. Another thing on my to do list.

the stereo is now mounted in the cubby box..the armourflex doesnt absorb water,a friend of mine gets it from work its **** hot stuff.you can mount the stereo in the top section or middle section of pod but i kept the space for me guages
