Hi All,
I have a 1998 Discovery 3.9ltr V8 Automatic.
The near side head gasket is leaking (it has been all the time I have had the car), so I have finally decided to get the work done.
I have a week off soon, I have found a place that will skim my head and supply new gaskets and new bolts.
Has anyone got any hints and tips for stripping down the engine and removing the heads, any do's or do nots that anyone can think off.
Also is there any speicalised tools I need to get before I start the job.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much in advance.
John
