I've no idea mate haven't heard from him for a while,I was going to ring the Fuzz worried in case VT's has kidnapped him.:D
Lets not sully things by mentioning her.

Yes, It's been quite a while since I've seen him, I do hope he used treated timber to make his drive on ramps.

He had a mate called @loony who I believe was an arch deacon who liked to get really dirty.

As an L405 owner and enthusiast of this model i can offer you as much advice for FREE as you can take buddy.

My first bit of proper advice would be this: Don't listen to BS off dealers or those who think they know the model well albeit they have never owned one and that is no disrespect to anyone on here before anyone moans. These cars are bloody expensive and complicated.
The early car models 2013/14 cars IMHOP as AN OWNER should be AVOIDED as they were plagued with trouble issues mostly electrical.
The models to go for are the later 2015 onwards. Mine is a 2015 Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 which now has just clocked up 60500 miles with a 100% comprehensive service record from day 1.
I am the second owner too and she is absolutely MINT in every respect and in the near 1 year i have owned her i have already spent £5000 on her in keeping her mint service wise and pre-emptive maintenance wise so if your on a tight budget DONT BUY ONE.
Mine cost £115000 new too as the chap specced her up. He had no trouble in the 6 years he owned her but his service bills were high.
I now use a specialist Range Rover expert local to me and they are bloody brilliant and know these car well as they are both JLR master techs.
Prices vary too according to spec and miles on the clock.
You get what you pay for too.
If you want to know more then PM me and we can chat on the phone.

What have you spent 5k on in 12mths?

Keeping her mint and making her better than she was when new as well as routine PROPER servicing which is all documented on file. She is actually brilliant on diesel too and will easily return over 40 mpg on a long run at a steady 70 mph. These cars are awesome if you can find a minter that has been loved and cared for properly by its owner who has the money to spend on its upkeep. They are certainly NOT a car to buy and then try to run on a shoe string budget like many of them sadly are now and being off loaded by poor owners and dodgy dealers.
Mine might be for sale as i have been offered my dream Rolls Royce so if the chap selling her ticks all my boxes with it i may well buy her but sadly the Rangie will have to give up her place in my mancave.

But what exactly has been done what preventative things have you done. What's specifically been changed service wise and not just inspected. 5k gets you a lot of servicing as you've only had car 12mths.

Like i mentioned previously. All preventative maintanance to keep her 100%. I spent £10000 on my Rolls Shadow 11 early last year also which is why she was also mint and sold within 2 days of advertising her. I don't need to list it all on here buddy. FYi, 5k at a main stealers will get you not a lot either. Most of that will be extortionate labour rates plus v.a.t and a not as much as i get with my specialist who i use who is honest and does not over charge like main stealers do.
Folk who own these cars will understand that too.
