Agreed the OP has not posted up any details of the car he is looking at in this thread that i can see. There is a link from another poster to a car on ebay but that is the lesser Vogue model only.

I can't say I've ever sold a 'good' car or bike. Maybe I'm just not fortunate enough to be in that position.
I've sold out of necessity because i need something newer and more reliable, because i don't want to sink any more cash into an aging vehicle

The RR I had handled like a truck and drank petrol at an unbelievable rate. It was quiet and comfortable though but I was too young to appreciate those qualities at the time.

The lesser Vogue models should be avoided especially the 3.0 v6 as they had issues with cranks snapping so should be avoided at all costs. The V8 is the only option on these L405's in either diesel or petrol.

Its a Rolls Royce. They were not designed to be economical. Great cars and if i worried about running costs then i would not buy one. Same applies really to any big expensive car today. Many folk buy them with no idea how much they will cost to run which they cannot afford and this is how they fall in to decline.

Running costs were not a problem, company paid, driving pleasure was close to zero though, not a car to hustle round the lanes.

Its only a Vouge too with a few extra's on it. Autobiography is the only way to go on these cars so you get all the toys plus most owners who buy Autobiography also add more extra's too which usually pushes the car over the 100k price tag. Mine was 115k new. WOW!!!! but then again my Bentley RT Mulliner was 185000 new in 1999 and my Silver Shadow 11 was 30000 new in 1978.

Looks like the reg is wrong YT63 XKV has no record. I imagine it should read YT63 XKU which is a Black 3ltr Range Rover Diesel registered October 2013.

My first bit of proper advice would be this: Don't listen to BS off dealers or those who think they know the model well albeit they have never owned one and that is no disrespect to anyone on here before anyone moans. These cars are bloody expensive and complicated.
The early car models 2013/14 cars IMHOP as AN OWNER should be AVOIDED as they were plagued with trouble issues mostly electrical.
The models to go for are the later 2015 onwards. Mine is a 2015 Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 which now has just clocked up 60500 miles with a 100% comprehensive service record from day 1.
I am the second owner too and she is absolutely MINT in every respect and in the near 1 year i have owned her i have already spent £5000 on her in keeping her mint service wise and pre-emptive maintenance wise so if your on a tight budget DONT BUY ONE.
Mine cost £115000 new too as the chap specced her up. He had no trouble in the 6 years he owned her but his service bills were high.
I now use a specialist Range Rover expert local to me and they are bloody brilliant and know these car well as they are both JLR master techs.
Prices vary too according to spec and miles on the clock.
You get what you pay for too.

So I've just got back from a trip to go and see/test drive it. Dealer claims that the mileage discrepancy is due to the MOT technician noting the number down wrong and they're in the process of correcting it.

The car drove well, very smooth. But lots of cosmetic issues that I'm not happy with for a 24k car. Every wheel had bad curb rash. Pretty much all of the buttons had started to wear. Leather was tatty. Several very large scratches on the body work.

So the verdict is that I am sold on L405s but not this one. The hunt continues. For 24k I expect not to have curb rash on every wheel lol.
