HID lights - bulb changing

Just a quick Q fur yu guys - whats your thoughts on changing HID bulbs?

I have heard conflicting advice - from "dont touch em - theres 36000 volts there" to "its no diff from changing a normal Xenon".

what do you guys think?

i have a HID upgrade kit for my mondingo ( when i get round to fitting it) as long as the power is off and has been off for a while your ok yes they are high voltage but you don't normally change a headlight bulb with the bulb switched on do ya?

to be completely honest i tested my kit with the bulb sitting on the slam panel and i didn't get a shock.......

itys just start up current.it wont kill ya....
