Thanks for the already useful information on the site. I picked up a 2003 TD5 Disco ES Auto a couple of weeks ago and whilst it is on whole its in good mechanical condition, the dealer did not sort out a number of issues raised at time of sale, though has promised to pay for the remedial costs as they were "busy". I have it writing so hopefully will be ok!!
These are a list of the few niggles I am working through:
Leaking front sunroof - Resealed by Jim Hallam
Back door in-operative - New solenoid fitted by Jim Hallam
Needed a service - As above
Passenger electric seat not functioning - Replaced a fuse, seems to be holding, but there are few 40amp fuses in the glove compartment so we will see!
SRS light on - Horn has been separately wired. This should of been an MOT failure this year under the new rules. I've ordered the Cassette for the steering wheel from a breaker. The fault is definitely on the driver airbag.
Rear Park assist not working - seems to be the sounder - ordered the speaker from LR direct
Rear tyres close to legal limit - Picked up a set of hurricanes in better nick than mine off eBay with better tyres so that's a result!
Rear pads low - haven't planned yet
Track rod bush and arm - worn -haven't planned yet, but been quoted c£120 fitted
I have a sent of genuine LR Chrome side steps to fit as well. Other than a good detail inside and out is needed, this is my progress so far....
