hi new to landys

hi, ive just bought a 1987 defender 90 in white for my first car. i love her already ha when ive past me test i really want to start doing some offroading with some mates who ll got discos but i thought ide change the trend and get a 90 wich im well pleased about coz she a beast. just thought ide say hi hope ya dont mind. if any of you are from cambridge area and fancy cumin offroadin at me farm any time let me no

Hi there, i'm also new to the landy world, i bought my first defender 200tdi yesterday. What an absolute incredible machine, goes over, through, up practically anythin as i found out today.

im round the girlfreinds at the moment and havent got the cable for my phne but im at home tomo so ill upload some then and some of my lil offroad track i made wich is basically a shed load of wet clay and deep puddles ha

hi was yours an ex waterboard ?? thats what mine is i think. the engines on her last legs tho but hant got a clue of what engine to put in her. whats yours got ??

Well dont know previous owner other than I bought from Liveridge so been worked over and have warranty. My engine seems ok so fingers crossed. I do sense that could be utility vehicle as it has had light in roof previously. How come yours is on last legs..where did you get it from and whats happening. My engine is 200tdi and is great. I had 2.5td previously and big diff. Is yours really bad or could it be refurbd..what is it now

If you dont mind me being cheeky,
you said that its your first car, so how expensive is the insurance or is it not that bad as I will look for a landy for my 17th next year but didn't think that I would be even considered over the likes of a series, or are you a bit older.

defender are a fewhundred quid more to insure than series 2,3 im 18 and my defender was 1800 with a years no claims
to insure at 17 i was looking at 3500 as a first car

am my cheapest quote was 3100 and there was no way i was payin that so i just got me dad to class it as a maintence vechicle for the lorries and got it down to 66 quid a month and im named driver so i will get my ncb and anyone else is insured onit aswell wich i thought was well gd. o yea im 17 btw. its got a 2.5td init atm but she ****es oil out all over the place out of every orifis. she smokes a fair bit and she wont go above 65 mph well when u try it just loses power and drops down to 50 mph. she probly could be refurbed but im lookin out for a tidy 200tdi if anyone noes of anyone. been lookin out on ebay and i spiolt for choice but i dont no if they anygd or that
