Anyone from 1984 to today Engines are pretty interchangable, some need a few mods to make em fit but nothing major, Check chassis & front bulkhead If they're solid everything else can be sorted without too much trouble.

With regards to thread hijacking. Get used to it we don't believe in sticking to one topic, and it saves on bandwidth if we stick it all on one thread

Oh yeah, sorry, forgot where we was fer a mo!

Go for a 110 CSW from 1991 onwards. Dont worry too much about the mileage, just have a look in the common faults bit for the bits to look out for - mainly the chassis and bulkhead, everything else just unscrews like big mecanno.

Here's a starting point...
1996 LAND ROVER 110 DEFENDER CSW 300TDI GREY on eBay, also, Land Rover Range Rover, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 05-Jun-08 21:41:21 BST)

The fooking patio has bin dug up and the filth want ter know who the fook yer buried under there.

I int gonna put me mates postcode in there am I. so I changed the last bit slightly. Din't know you came from Leeds. If I had I wunt of fooking had owt ter do wiv yer.

Nah, tweren't a leeds one it were a derby one - but i think coz i still had the winder open in the background despite you putting the leeds one in it reverted to what it thought was mine - but that one you put up did look a nice deal though. When i was forst lookin i was offered a fairly tidy L reg one for £2,500 - little did i know, shoulda snapped the chaps arm off!

Yeah but coz i'd just used DE74 2FX, i think my cookies reverted your search to the postcode i used (which confooozified me - it dint take much!)

been looking at few, but id really fancy more of a project than a runner... not only to save a few quid, but for the enjoyment of rebuilding one too.... Im looking at a few series 3`s from the late 70s / early 80`s....

Thaughts please?

Why not go for a Series 2 then and save yer tax bill every year?
