Either, I've got it back from DB's tonight. So I've got brakes, Swivel and Starter Motor all new. I'm doing the oils on Saturday. I've heard you have a EP90 syringe? Wouldn't mind a loan. I'll give you a call.

Am going to give Santa Pod a bash on Sunday with Disco 01, just to give it a gentle outing before Derby.
It feels really good driving it tonight, really strong.:D:D:D

You'll not know yourself then - working brakes and everything:D Oil syringe, no problem if you want to swing by and pick it up just let me know when. If you're going out on Sunday I wouldn't mind tagging along, haven't been out for ages and a gentle trip would be welcome.

O.K. I did some homework last night, there is going to be no shotage of routes to drive, I reckon you could could spend a week in the peaks and not drive the same lanes twice.

However, in some places there is a fair chance of minor body damage so I just hope nobody has become precious about their paint. We will also need to think about our groups, I read somewhere there is a voluntary code that says maximum number of motors in a group is 4, also we need to be sure we know which way to drive some routes. Apart from that it should be a great weekend.

Spyderman, can't make it this Sunday - I have to go North again for an early start on Monday, sorry mate I was looking forward to it too but if you want to swing by and pick up oil syringe I'll be about until lunchtime Sunday.

Stanage edge needs to be driven down, ie, start at the Redmires Reservoir end. It's a bitch to get up anyway .. ;)

Chapel Gate is a bitch whichever way you go, but it's suggested that driving towards Barber Booth from Rushup Edge is the friendliest, both for vehicles and the ecology!

Similarly Bamford clough and Hurstclough lanes are both suggested to go down, ie drive North to South. Bamford is steep enough that going down, low-box 1st with diff-lock on and using no throttle made my oil warning light come on after about 10 metres ... and stay on till a couple of flat bits when i could rev it !!!

Bound to be others but they are the ones I remember easily.

OOW sorry guys I couldn't be more help not having reverse is a biatch! Well the good news is its now fixed.

Now Either:
I'm a complete C*NT, and adjusted it completly wrongly,

Or

When Ashcroft replaced and fitted my selector housing cos the old one was cracked they never setup the reverse switch. Unlikley

I can't remember who touched it last so I'll just go with I'm a compete numpty. I sure I even warned Phil when he refitted his gearbox about the adjustment and how important it is to get right. I also remember spending a while getting mine setup but I can't honestly say if it was me or Ashcrofts approved fitters.

Anyways I have reverse again and am running (I don't think the neibours approved the 02.00am reverse on, off, on, off the throttle test down the street tho). LOL!

Many thanks to Andy (Spitfiremk1uk who still can't post anything lost an email or somthing) for getting muddy not been that muddy for a while aye oh nearly forgot and for drinks at the pub! Everyone their for their patience. Sorry I Couldn't be more help at the time having no reverse Sucks! Jai

Jai, thank christ your gearbox isn't kanckered. Was well upset at the thought that you might have damaged it rescuing us!

T'was a little sticky this evening it has to be said. By the time we realised that it was really rough it was too late!

All power to Phil for some tremendous driving and of course many thanks to your bruv!

Oh and... no misfire this evening!
