Looks like it wasa gloriously muddy day... sorry we missed it!

Don't suppose anyone sneaked a picture of that bird on the horse... :p

Mike, No problem, we only turned you around as you didn't have any recovery points, so we couldn't have rescued you if you had gotten stuck. Once you,ve got them sorted we'd be glad to have you along. The 90 truck cab guy is Booger.

Hi Mike,

And you also need some tyres, I think all the disco's there were on Muds, and at least one of them, can't recall which , needed a tow through that section we were going through !

Hope you've got deep pockets :D

cheers booger yer im glad ya did turn me away are the cheap mud tyres any good or is it better to spend a little more ?

iv been looking at steering guards today hopefully get one in the next week or so !!!!

thanks mike

Thanks to all for a cracking day. My ankle is good btw, no swelling?!? but still aches a bit.

I got a few pics, and a few short vids at standon.

Not posted a vid before so not sure if it will work - will edit out otherwise.

Well everyone's got an opinion on this forum :D If you want to read in depth on tyres (or any other topic) just use the search feature, whatever you want to know has probably been covered 10 times already, and some of the old kodgers get really upset when the same stuff keeps coming up again because no one has bothered to search ;) If you can't find the answer post a question in the relevant technical forum.

But my opinion on tyres is get BFG Mud terrain, or Kumho MT's. A recent Land Rover Magazine test rated them joint winners as best all round Mud Tyres. Kumho's r slighty cheaper.

You can get better tyres, but they will cost **** loads more, and perform worse on the road.I wouldn't go cheaper than BFG's or Kumho's, cause it sucks getting stuck when everyone else is getting through. You could look on ebay, but make sure there is still enough tread left.

O and when getting a steering guard look for one that has integrated recovery points, makes life easier (and then you just need to worry anout the back )

Bloody awesome day out boys and girls :D ..
