Dunno if you still need some tips but here goes! The Rav handles surprisingly well offroad and the suspension (I kept as standard) ensures you don't have a rough ride. The cons are the lack of ground clearance. You can get a set of 235 muds on to give you a couple of inches, the arches will need a tiny bit of modification! A body lift would be needed to get really good ground clearance (so you don't dent everything underneath the Rav like I did), to give you three or four inches in total. Did have a lack of grunt but didn't do too bad for a 2 litre. I did some pretty savage lanes and pay n plays and it took some serious abuse. I was doing the same as the Landy guys most of the time. If you haven't got a snorkel then you def need to get one. Also, the sensors will need a seriously good clean every once in a while due to the Japs love of putting them all over it! You will have really good fun in it but don't treat her as bad as I did! Enjoy, Pintsize
Just Bought an old Rav 4, 3 door, which will be kept in Spain. Very, Very impressed by your pictures & never appreciated they were anywhere near as capable as this off road.
Would be very interested in any advice with the RAV, any problems you've had & how to make it a little more trick!
    Cheers
