Well... looks like its party time at DBs then!

I'll still be sat here beavering away. Got to get this software finished and suffered a real setback last night. (How was I to know the Sim only holds 20 text messages before it reaches meltdown and refuses further instructions!)

Would really like to have joined you at DBs or at Surrey for that matter! Feel for Kris... organised all this lot and then we all backed out for one reason or another!

Made good progress. DB, Kev & Me. Leonberger popped in earlier too.

Fitted Raised Air Intake, started to sort out rear capping. DB fitted Alternator and re-arranged fuel system. It's coming together.

The plan is to have the Spydiemobile running by Friday. Fingers crossed.

Hi everyone had a good days laning, got most of the lanes in that we intended to do and Dan showed me the least difficult lane of the 3 that have just been re-opened, but still got the SJ stuck three times. Nothing to bad, just had to take a faster run up on the first 2 and used my bridging ladders to get out the ruts on the 3rd.

Hope somebody is taking a decent camera on plains trip cos I need a good photo of my motor for avator and I dont have a digi camera.

if mine isnt fixed buy the trip you can borrow mine

We'll have 2 or 3 digital cams with us, and if I can find someone to look at my dvd camera we'll have that too. You'll be welcome to borrow one of ours I am sure.

Some pictures of one of my mates cars, use to come out twice a week on the Surrey lanes, but now all the works done on his car, doesn't get out on the lanes anymore.

Ok drove to north weald airfield marshalled a ccv course today. Dashboard lights flickering messing about dials going billyape alternator light comming ion intermittantly, checked alternator seems ok, checked behind dash seems ok. When I got home, Pulled up outside GF house small engine fire, Cause: TDI Engine harness become dislodged from clips between bulkhead/engine block, probably because of offroading/cheap and nasty clipsSo to summerise hot engine melted harness and got the main Alternator +ve short to block/bulkhead, Luckily I had an extinguisher in the passenger floor, and a spanner in the battery Tray. put fire out wiring in a mess towed home not even a mile, will make new harness wrap in heat resistant material and fix harness to bulkhead every 100mm. This could have been the landy in flames. lucky for me it has turned out ok. Jai

I have a wicked camera and will be taking that plus a digital video camera too

should be lots of fun!!

OK,

I've been reading TOR and there seems to be a complete industry committed to providing green lane trips, especially in North Wales. Am I missing something or do these people really provide a service that can not be gained by simply going out with a bunch of mates?

Of course they may be aimed at Billy no mates, in which case I understand (I think), though £25 per vehicle to drive ROW seems a little steep! Thoughts?
