O did I forget to mention that he was a test driver for Renault trucks for many years. he likes to test us all! He has pics of him in an 8x8 doing jumps airborn around millbrook testing ground for a photographer. He also took around a 'in his own words' (a smarmy rep) once, only once, they never asked again I think he shook them up so bad. Jai

Good morning all. Up at DB's from 2.00pm this afternoon. I think Leonberger is popping in. Have finished polishing my Pipe last night, so it's work, work, work. Running out of time fast.

Ok got it Mate will call after two ..... I needs more coffee and i got work tobe done lol ......

i am having problems with my range rover it was missing and having problems starting got it to a garage changed the leads plugs cap and arm still problem when under load, changed the distributor and seemed fine now it runs like **** untill its above 3000rpm stuck on what to do checked the timing now thats ok done the emissions all ok going to change the fuel filter as it sometime seems like it fuel starvation any tips would be helpful

Check your alternator!!

If you can get it over here, I can take a look, mine isn't going anywhere today that's for sure

Don't be fooled. Mine worked fine as well but the misfire I had was caused by an injection misfire. The trigger for the injection is off the alternator, any problem with the alternator can cause the sort of problems you are describing.

Check it out, might be the cause. At worst, it'll cost ya about £30.00 to have new regulator, brushes and slip rings done. If there is a bit more testing done it might cost more.

The fault on my alternator was a dry joint on one of the windings, got it sorted and has been sweet as ever since and it was a lot cheaper than a new alternator.

I was.

I got down to Shell station by J9, topped tank (don't ask how much ) and noticed a bit of oil under the front.

You might remember I had some concerns about one of the oil cooler pipe unions which has a damaged thread - well it decided to **** oil everywhere. Mind you, steering and suspension etc nicely lubed up now but so is the inside of the brake disc. Will be getting rad refurbed this week so problem will be sorted.
