Hello, is anyone on this forum within striking distance of Wareham Dorset that has either a Faultmate or Cable and Laptop.

I have no air in my system, the pump is pumping (its only two months old) I have two new airbags on the rear - the front ones are ok, no known leaks she just wont go up.

I think I have a gremlin in the system, god knows where. She has done some strange things lately like going to the higher height when I park up and then not going down to motorway height despite being over 50 MPH constant for a good 5 miles. Yesterday at normal height, I parked on drive (reletively flat) she self leveled, went down a bit and now she refuses to go up. At the moment she is on her bumps, constant orange light on at the bottom and flashing orange light for the normal height and the pump going like buggery

Comments such as - buy yer own Faultmate and get a cable and Laptop will be registered and complied with - in the meantime just needing a quick fix by a very nice person who might live near me!!

Kind regards:D

I am afraid there is no quick fix. You say you have a new pump and new rear air bags but you seem to have neglected the valve block. The O rings only have a finite life and you don't mention having overhauled it yet. I would start there. If you sort the valve block before it decides to go hard fault you won't need a faultmate.

Before I posted , I did research the forum on EAS problems and there was suggestions that Valve Blocks do not often go wrong though it has crossed my mind that my car may be suffering in that area. The car will have to go to a specialist me thinks because I wont know what to do. I just want some air as I dont fancy a 10 mile ride on the bump stops. Sore back and all that stuff.

I had a long saga with my EAS but finally a happy ending. Bags had leaks, compressor was done in, so on and so forth and as each was fixed / replaced / overhauled, the problem shifted but never went away. Came down to my height sensors and to the o'rings and locking collets at several points in the air harness. So start there, soapy water on all joints and where the airlines go into the bags and reservoir tank, in and out of the EAS box and the dryer. Don't forget the base of the air inlet filter and exhaust silencer at the box. Betcha find at least one leak if not more...
