P38 broken/snapped height sensor arm (rear)

Hi all to those who no more than me!

P38s been going as well as to be expected lately. Latest issue was whilst Doing some light off-roading (going over large hump)

Immediately after eas fault. Had a Quick Look afterwards and rear height sensor arm looked to have sheared off sensor and couldn’t find it so new sensor on order.

Has anyone else had this happen? I guess the car was flexing allot or possibly something on the ground thumped it. I’m also not sure if a previous owner has altered the height settings causing to much stress on linkage. I’ve got RSW software and cable have got the basics of how to use it.

Or could it just be bad luck and poor quality parts again?

I’d guess it just caught on something. If you can have the kit to calibrate see it as an opportunity for a new sensor
You can check to see if the heights have been adjusted by PO while you’re there.

Thanks that’s great, I’ve been meaning to check and calibrate all heights. Does anyone know the maximum heights/ values for standard and high that are possible without the EAS throwing a fit. Still like to keep it lifted a bit +im running 245/75/16 MT tyres. Many thanks

I know you're new here, but have you looked in the Technical Archive section at the top of this forum ? In there are links to RAVE, plus the "EAS System Info Document", which includes the ECU range for each height.

To make it easy (as you're new) . . . .

Hi thanks for that, no didn’t know it existed! I will have a scan through, I’m sure it will be very helpful with this and other technical bits of data. Appreciate your help
