Hi chaps new one here.
I have a classic efi which for the last year has been fine.

just finnished welding it up and refitting the interior now i have no radio/interior lights or electric windows.

Any clues

All the above were working 3 hours ago. I unplugged the radio to fit the metal surround and now these bits dont work. checked fuses and connections all ok but i am stumped. Does anybody no if theres a relay which activates this as if i put 12 volts to the radio ign on wire it back feeds and everything works but this is bypassing the fuses.

please someone give us a clue.

Hello again. All the welding was finished a couple of weeks ago and there was not even an engine in it at the time let alone a battery. But since putting back together all has been ok. I will be honest gunna look stupid now if its a fuse cos i havent looked under pass seat all i saw was fuel pump inertia switch. Thanks for help i will have a look and get back.

If it makes any difference this motor still runs fine all headlights work / centrel locking etc etc its just the first click on ign barrel that doesn't seem to do anything. I have checked switch and ok fuses on dash ok etc etc. but anyway will check and get back cheers.

Yes, I had that problem.
NEVER found the cause..... well the 'cause' was an old Halrdauds travel kettle plugged into the fag lighter blowing whatever blew!
No; the fuse for that circuit ISN'T on the dash panel fuse box.
Neither is it one of the ones under the passenger seat.
It's NOT one of the 'in-line' fuses or relays under the das EITHER......
and on mine, a 1991....... the wiring diagrams in the Haynes, the Rave and the other service sheets and bullatins were about as illuminating as a glow worm in a siberian salt mine!
I gave up.......... sorry.........
As you discovered, taking a feed from another ignition switched live to the fag lighter (in my case) of a suitable guage back feeds the broken circuit..... add an inline fuse from local motorfactors for 75p........ end of head-ache!
Just remember where the inline fuse is for NEXT time.......
Oh........ and watch what you are doing with the wires when you fit the radio.... or in my case...... buy a primus stove and bin the HAlfrauds 'it will get warm one day' travel kette!
