Hi there.. I'm leaping into the land of 4x4 because I need to tow a trailer and get out of a steep drive when it snows! Can anyone tell me what they think/know about the LANDROVER FREELANDER 2.0 TD4 S? I need a LHD as I'm in France and I've found a tidy looking one but have NO experience of any 4X4's!! It's a 2005 on 60,000 miles :blabla::blabla: and they're asking about £6000 ... I've got a car to part ex so will be getting a deal on that I hope!! Any help/suggestions/warnings/advice GRATEFULLY received!! :hippie: Ta!

:welcome2:

Have a :search: then make up your own mind

I'm biased, but everyones needs are different and mine does what I want it to.

trouble is as hp says peeps with a gaylander will tell you to get one cos there brilliant

the rest of us who dont have one but have proper landrovers will tell you not to bother there only for girls and hairdressers

welcome btw

As HP says everyones needs are different if you need a workhorse to tow use in fields and thats it get a defender or discovery if it needs to be used as your private car as well with some comfort needed then a freelander or discovery will do the job i have a td4 freelander but that suits me for what i use it for.

I tow my horse, and others too. For me its a No to freelander, no way up to pulling heavy live, moving cargo. yes to a Disco. I often tow up to 1200kg (2 horses) in a 1000kg trailer. Easy, peasy! Get the right tool for the job ;)
