Hi, just inherited a 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 XS....already love it and want to keep it....but it already looks like being expensive:
The driver's side (right-hand drive) DRL (LED cluster) light has failed. I've attached a pic. I spoke to my local independent specialist and they said:
1. Take out the headlight and test it on the other side to see if its the light or the wiring (done, so know its the light not to wiring)
2. If the light needs replacing, it basically means a new headlight unit.
A new headlight unit appears to be mega bucks!!! £400-£700 just to get a light working....seriously!?!
What are my options?
Also, Driver's side wing mirror casing is cracked (see 2nd pic) - is it possible to replace just the black trip rather than the entire wing mirror (which would need colour matching, etc, etc!)
Any advice gratefully received, thanks!
