MY 2p worth

If an Intro was mandatory this wouldn't have happened and the first time poster would have been directed by the site, its not mandatory.
He doesn't need to post an Intro, its nice when it happens but how many long time posters actually bother to say hello when 'Newbies' take the time to
post?
I wouldn't be surprised if the guy doesn't return and don't blame him.
He posted fairly valid questions in the correct section.
Perhaps its time that 1st time posters can only post in the Intro section

A little over the line for the tech sections.

Its true we have always 'encouraged' noobs to introduce themselves but there's a few bandwagon jumpers on this thread I could name that didnt so please show a little more decorum

Better than an abusive PM that other members cannot see so they can maintain the impression of being a nice person but who are actually a complete arse who doesn't like anyone disagreeing with them.

Now, there's something in that?!o_O
Hidden between the lines...
lurking in the shadows..
waiting to show it's face...
Unsaid truths...

Probably just a simple comment:p..;)

Well the OP got some answers to his question - that is what he wanted, I am sure once the systems are interrogated by diagnostics and checked to see what things can and cannot be switched off regards the Cruise Control, and I know the auto door locking can be changed as I can do it on mine, and the EAS doesn't have such a facility.

I then proceeded to explain that my short-arse girlfriend can climb into and out of our L322 without the need to lower the car or use side steps.....

And the thread then took a turn, the OP got his answers, then - just like a Friday night at a pub - the conversation turned into banter and laughter, nowt serious and no-one was disrespectful to another, no swearing occurred and it was all done with light-hearts.

I understand there are times and places for such content and a technical forum may not be the place - but at least the OP got his answers first!!

But points noted and I shall act with restraint in future posts.

You mean you want to be tied up?

It really matters not, what but I assume is we try to keep the tech or specific sections free from too much levity, as folks come along with problems that are genuine pleas for assistance, be they new or not, some obviously are quite familiar with each other and can dabble in the banter but to newbies it can be a bit confronting. I was drawn to this forum with some Disco D1 problems 8 years ago and got a lot of help here and such has continued in the ensuing years.
Through the AG forum I have made associations that are fun and familiar although I have never met any of you I feel that I know many of you. This forum has a great reputation for being able to supply valuable and precise solutions to Landy problems and the depth of experience found here is beyond compare, I feel priveleged to be a member and hope for anyone who has a Landy problem to get their answers here.
