Help MOT

Hi all
is there any Disco 2 and MOT. pointy heads in the house ?
MOT could fail on the lower cross member what i thought was the rad guard see photos , as the guy at mot station thinks that it chassis support and DOT tester is coming to have a look as he not sure can any one tell me if its a mot fail .

even in good condition i would say it is not part of the "chassis" as such, I always assumed it is there to help stop you drive over high kerbs and end up smashing your steering.

You could buy a new one and replace it, just a few nuts and bolts, simples.

If it was an essential bit of kit the the D1 would be fitted be fitted with it, so would Land Rovers before as they all have a chassis that’s similar to the D1.
Unless the D2 chassis is totally different and that is another one of the 70 improvements over the D1

Steering guard, no way is that a fail. Not structural.
