:eek:There seems to be an intermittent engine fault. After cut out & amber light car will restart once turned off & on again.
Garage has replaced crank sensor but still happening. Injectors showing intermittent low fuel input on all 4. But were recently replaced when I had a load of work done when car was cutting out with green s & m lights coming on - full fuel pump system replaced.

New fault started after engine difficult to start. Started but ran rough , had difficulty pulling up hill in BD10 then engine cut out and amber engine block light came on but engine did restart. Also cutting out on flat.

Now after being in garage car is pulling well but engine cut out 3 times on road I front on my house at low speed & then once across the road.
Any ideas what to do next as the garage seems to be getting nowhere & it is costing an absolute fortune.

Any local enthusiasts welcome Bradford 10 area.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Thanks for this.

By dedicated tester I am assuming that you mean at a main dealer?

They have been doing diagnostics at the local garage but I am assuming that their diagnostic computer is not providing detailed enough info... Sorry I am a novice this..

Cheers

Sounds like classic fuel pump failure to me.
ASAIK no diagnostic equipment will show this up.
I agree with sierrafery, join the D2Boys Club.
There are members on there who are far more knowledgeable than I, who can help.
He has put that the fuel pump has already been replaced matey. What about the fuel pressure regulator. I'm only guessing here as i own a d1

Thanks guys

It is still doing it.. Stopping, engine block light coming on & then re- starting straight away- no noises just a straight start.

Have got it booked in at a local Landy specialist that I have found in Shipley, they initially think it may be an electrical fault but I will also suggest the fuel pump regulator to them.

Thanks guys.

did current problem start after injectors were replaced, if so could be injector seals not seated correctly

Yes I had the d rings replaced- cost a fortune - but it has been running fine for 5 months or so.

The only thing that happened before this current problem was that my husband replaced the front light bulb on the passenger light. He said something was stuck in place and so he
had a few problems but managed to replace the bulb- I thought he may have pulled some wires that are now shorting but really have no idea so will suggest your idea to the garage too.

Thank you

It is now having to work to start up again after cut out - so could be due to fuel problems.

Going into the garage early tomorrow now!

Garage can't find anything mechanical wrong so they think it is an intermittent electrical fault. They are going to keep looking for any loose connectors but so far none. If nothing turns up then it looks like its time for auto electricians! Some fault in one of the looms maybe but lets hope not :)

I seem to be having the same problem. I have changed : 1 fuel pump in tank
2 engine crank sensor
3 removed EGR valve
4 new wiring harness in cam cover ( to prevent oil in cable to ecu)
5 trying two separate ecu s – both still show the same problem
6 fuel pump relay
7 checks on wiring harness
8 new pipe to intercooler
9 have had two main dealers fault diagnose with no success
10 had a new MAF sensor a short while back

still cant sort it out mark [email protected]

any help would be most appreciated
