I have a Range Rover P38 X reg and have converted it to LPG. Changed the original grill to a sports grill and just bought some roof rails off ebay. (Need to get the cross bars next). A lot more to do me thinks! Economy tips anyone?

I am learning new things about the car all the time and have invested in a genuine Range Rover Workshop Manual so that should help a little. Hope fully you will allow me to pick your brains from time to time when I get stuck.

Anyone from the South East Wales area in here?

Economy? Take the roof rails off? A valid point but I want them on. Something for me to hold on to when I am urban surfing! LOL

However, burning my P38 is not an economical way of improving its economy. I paid almost a lot of money for it and I wouldnt get it back if I burnt it.

My request for advice on economy tips was for daily running costs. Thats my point.

I have had my P38 for three years and the only issue I have had was to change a crank sensor. Not bad for a 9 year old car with 71k on it. Oh, I have had to top up the Windscreen washer fluid as well!

Enjoy your Defender, they are reliable if well maintained not lovely though.

It would take more than the rantings of a Defender owner to give me the huff.

I appreciate your concern but I am no way miffed. You are right 27 years has given me extremely thick skin.

I am merely arguing the point to destruction and hopefully the the defender of the Defenders will get bored and he will, then he will go away!

So actually I am having a lot of fun.
