Hi Everyone. I’ve just bought a Discovery Sport HSE (Black pack) and thought I should join Landyzone as there seems to be some interesting topics to browse.
I’m very happy with my ‘new’ DS, it’s a 16 reg with fairly low miles and only one previous owner, full service history etc. so I’m hoping I will get some trouble free miles out of it over the next few years.
It does have a couple of issues. The satnav doesn’t work, it lets me put the destination in without any problem but then after telling me it’s calculating the route, it shows ‘Failed’ and places the car in the sea somewhere, so I suspect there’s a GPS problem. The other is an annoying high speed ticking noise coming from somewhere above the steering column, behind the dash(?). It ticks loudly all the time the engine is running and then carries on for a few seconds after the engine is switched off before spooling down. It must be an electric motor of some sort. Hopefully, I’ll get to the bottom of both problems soon.
