RR L332 3.0 TD6. Any ideas why the prop shaft (just before it goes into diff) is rubbing on the I think anti roll bar.
I suspected drive shaft failure but now I’ve seen this I’m suspecting something has failed and took the drive shaft boot with it. NSF. Also.
The body is vibrating when engine ticking over but when you rev it it’s ok. Have I lost an engine mount or gearbox mount. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have no idea what. You think I could have lost an engine mounting?
First port of call methinks.
Engine mounts are active (which means they're 'hydro' and controlled by vac) and in other iterations (marques) they can cause the engine (and anything attached to it) to droop .

Any ideas which mounting to look for. As far as I can see the left and right look ok. But when I had it jacked up and turned the nsf wheel you can see the engine move. And the bolts on the shaft are Deffo hitting the anti roll bar. I’m at a loss at the minute.

No, you're not at a loss, you just said you can see the engine move...
now use your senses to work out which 'failed' mount is causing this.
 
I take it you have checked those bolts are tight.

Also think you have hydraulic engine mounts, controlled by ecu to help engine vibration.
I have no idea what happens if 1 should fail but guess would be a good place to check.
Mine has more clearance than that.

I’m thinking (May be wrong) but this mounting has come off completely and maybe took the driveshaft boot out. It’s my 1st RR so not sure what I’m looking for. ‍♂️

Mounts should be tight with a very small degre of movement if levered, I'm sorry I can't releport myself to tell you to get the kettle on.
 
They both look ok though from what I could see mate.

From and engineeering perspective there should be a decent tolerance of at least an inch beteween a moving part and a stationary part, something has failed and it can only be an engine mount or possibly a gearbox mount that has failed in this instance.

Understand you mate. It’s going to the garage Monday I think. What I don’t get is how can an engine mount be controlled by ECU? If anything had failed like that would I not get any warning lights on dash? If the ECU is related.
Will see what the garage has to say about it. I do think your right about the engine mount but will be nice to get it sorted and checked over.

That is the front diff flange to front propshaft, not driveshaft...

Driveshafts go from diff to wheels, propshafts go front to back.

It looks like your engine has dropped....now, even a failed engine mount *shouldn't* cause that, as they should be designed to leave clearance in the event of failure....I wonder, (and this is a big wonder) if the front subframe has snapped, and the engine has dropped! WOuld be unlikely but I can't think of another reason for diff flange to meet the ARB....unless the ARB has come loose!

Thats an awesome post - the first line..'That is the front diff flange to front propshaft, not driveshaft...' was such mechanical gobbledegook that it made no sense to me - but then the ensuing explanation was pure gold and so succinctly put that I now completely understand and can probably hold sway in a pub and convince others I'm an expert on the topic!

Bloody glad you did not see my post the other night where I confused Drivers Mirror with Rear View Mirror.... I looked like a right Herbert...

Thanks for your reply mate and I’m thinking you may be right. I will post a pic again when it gets lighter but I think I have a snapped sub frame/engine cradle. I’ve been looking for broken/missing engine mount but I did notice what looked like shear marks on the tubular frame at the back of the engine. And it was at about the same place on both sides. I will get and post pic when it lightens up a little.
Would explain the engine vibration and what took out the drive shaft.
Should be a nice garage bill.
