Mates :

About to install my fresh rebuild LT77 with R380 Case and oil lines/cooler

so a new clutch and pressure plate should be installed

I think to avoid at all cost BritPart - and look to AP or Valeo

but then what about an HD clutch - Ashcroft offers a paddle style clutch for a heavy duty setup

my truck currently works the desert - so 40-45º c ambient temps are not uncommon - so something durable should be acquired

cheers in advance

A paddle clutch is more for high horse power applications. It 'grips' more the hotter it gets, but it does mean that your clutch will be more like an on/off switch.

I would recommend an AP clutch for a Defender 130.

Mates :

the paddle clutch is on my mind as the current temps here hovering near 45ºc

LT77 crapped partly to heat - as well as LT230 transfer box - - getting all the cross drilled bits to update LT230 - HD cross pin as well as Rakeway thrust bearing carrier -

AP HD 130 clutch arrived today - still think a paddle clutch would be my best choice all things considered

is possible to only buy the paddle plate as I have a new pressure plate /

cheers:

why have you fitted r380 case and what case lt77s were available with cooler options and bb are the best h/d cutches will give you gear box knock at idle, and too much shock than it needs for long life
