Hi all, just going through the motions with my recently acquired 300 tdi, coming home tonight i don't seem to have any illumination to the heater controls or any of the sunroof switches. My question is are these items illuminated & if so how do you get to the bulbs.

Heater control is bulb behind the panel
pull off the knobs two screws under outside ones pull panel off

Service repair no - 86.45.73

2. Prise blower speed control knob off lever.

5. Insert new bulb in holder.
Refit

Cheers Elmer D, still cannot get over why the sunroof switches are not illuminated when on my tdi 200 the light switch on the indicator stalk was illuminated. Snoops

Bloody typical, got in the Disco today with the intention of going to Halfrauds to get a bulb for the heater switches & the bloody key would not turn in the ignition switch. Eventually managed to get it started but could not run the risk of getting into town & then not being able to start it. Looks like a new ignition switch.

My key did that some times so I just removed it, turned it over and inserted it and then no probs. I now have put some graphite power, scrape the lead of a pencil over the key, it now seems ok

Hi Discool, i will try that as my options have just about run out but even if that works it is going to be at the back of my mind every time i remove the key.
