Disco 2 Heated washer jets?

Do they have them?

One of mine is frozen and below 0 does not work.

If they do what fuse, if not why not?

no such thing on D2...only if you retrofit D3 ones

It was a pair of D3 jets which I fitted on my D2 instead of the original ones. I had read somewhere before I bought the Disco that the jets on the D2 were prone to freezing.
In my case I wired them in parallel and then I powered them with a relay triggered from one half of the front screen heater circuit. I can't remember now what size fuse I used, probably something like 15 or 20 Amp to cover both heaters. If you really need to know, I'll have to go and physically check. You could trigger them from the rear screen instead if you want to use them for a longer "on time" or a switch if you want them to operate independently of a screen heater.
I bought them from one of the suppliers on the bay.
Don't forget to use the proper mix of screen washer fluid, that will help to reduce freezing.
I also fitted a "Heatshot" unit which heats the washer water to a safe temperature on its way to the jets, but if the jets are blocked with ice then the warm water isn't going to get to them. It is a bit expensive, but warm water does have the advantage over cold water when it comes to cleaning greasy deposits from the screen.

I think Terrafirma did something called "Hot Shot" for about £120 which heated your washer fluid up. Or you can also extend the washer jet pipe work and wrap it around the coolant hose, which will heat the washer fluid pretty decently.

OK looks like I will need to fit D3/4 jets then.

This is definately a bit of penny pinching on what was a £35,000 car.

Not sure if I have any more spare fuses under the bonnet after the light bar, and the headlamp upgrade

I used this type of relay base, it carries the output fuse(s) and if you really want it a fuse to protect the relay.

I have the D3 ones but the whole lot freezes overnight and takes a while to thaw out.......

Using the coolant hose to heat the piping is OK but doesn't work till the engine heats up.

What mix of windscreen washer fluid are you using?

This might help, I did it on my disco and it works great.
Go onto you tube and put in discovery windscreen washer upgrade

It's worth noting that no amount of heating is going to be of any use unless the fluid in the entire system can be kept liquid. The only way to ensure that will be the case is to use the correct mix of washer fluid.
A gallon of water with a squirt of washing up liquid "just ain't gonna cut it".
Pre-mixed fluid is now easily available and isn't that expensive, and if you use a concentrate then mix it at 50/50%.
The last thing you want is a pump or water tank to split because of freezing.

We use Methylated Spirits in the screenwash bottle, together with screenwash.

Surely the answer is to increase the amount of neat windscreen wash. You can go to 100% concentrate and living up here in Bonny Scotland we get lots of cold frosty mornings. I use 50/50 in the summer but increase to literally complete concentrate by now. I will only top up with neat stuff now till about April

Was bought premixed as I was low, will top up with concentrate

Hot Wash been around for years, like this one from the 70s registered and patent applied for according to the print on it.
Don't use it now with my old RR and disco I just extended the washer hose around the hose into the heater two or three minutes later there's warm fluid spraying on the screen, if the jets aren't frozen that is.
