Disco 2 Heated washer jets?

What mix of windscreen washer fluid are you using?
Good question but AFAIR it's 50%. But then it's been in quite a while..... Probably time to bung some more in, although what often happens is you get a bit of snow on top of the jets that then freezes blocking them.

Not yet in sunny Brum of course.

Why get an antifreeze tester, Halfords are selling them for under £2 then there's the professional ones for a bit more.

But they're for testing engine antifreeze not screen wash stuff.....

They actually test specific gravity and I have no idea what that should be for screenwash additive.

It's worth noting that no amount of heating is going to be of any use unless the fluid in the entire system can be kept liquid. The only way to ensure that will be the case is to use the correct mix of washer fluid.
A gallon of water with a squirt of washing up liquid "just ain't gonna cut it".
Pre-mixed fluid is now easily available and isn't that expensive, and if you use a concentrate then mix it at 50/50%.
The last thing you want is a pump or water tank to split because of freezing.

found out the hard way and then bought the halfords screen wash , don't know what it has in it to stop it freezing , gylocol maybe ????
