Hi there

Have a nonworking heated rear windscreeen and having read a few postings on this forum I felt better prepared to tackle the job of repairing it. So after removing the casing of the tailgate imagine my horror when I found that one of the metal tabs that the wires connect too had actually snapped off of the rearwindscreen? Does anybody know if it is possible to reconnect it using some solder (don't know if it is possible to solder as the glass may crack if heat up too much ) or special glue etc or am I gonna have to stump up and buy a new rear windscreen??? or option three just spend the entire winter driving on side mirrors lol.

Thanks in advance for any advice forthcoming.

Why did it take so long so your answer I was waiting on tender hooks for almost 4 mins before you got back to me  lmfao:p .

Thanks I will seek the help of a proffesional window type dude/dudette and also I will look into the conductive glue malarky as well.

Oh by the way this forum rocks almost as much my freelander does when offroading thanks again.

man are you staking me ????? Or you just being nice on the offchance i'll donate my freelander to you as a donor vehicle when I am bankrupt:rolleyes:
